Under the hashtag #NextGenSportsEducation, four partners have joined forces in the summer of 2022 to bring about lasting change in the educational landscape for young talents in Germany. “Our vision is a modern school campus for children and young people in competitive sport that offers relief for athletes, parents and coaches through short distances and central environment management,” explains Heiko Bonn, one of the managing directors of the project company. “In this way, we want to provide the young talents with professional sporting support and at the same time a first-class school education up to the Abitur,” adds Florian Kurrle, owner of the private business school “Wirtschaftsschule Pasold-Weissauer” in Holzkirchen and future operator of the sports grammar school.
They are currently looking for a plot in the south of Munich with an area of approx. 10,000 sqm on which to build a future-oriented, energy self-sufficient school campus in timber construction with sports facilities. It is important to the investors that their heartfelt concern involves local clubs and citizens, who should be able to use the sports facilities and multifunctional, barrier-free rooms as well.
